Restaurant RamblingsMy tool of emotional communication was literally stolen from my body. Taken over by a plague of disgust, I was left in a constant state of confusion. A misunderstanding of who I once was and what I will become.
My past seems like a waste of time, and the next day is pointlessly hanging in the air. All of the emotion that was poured into my music is gone. My heart is now an empty void that seems impossile to fill.
I'm left to take silent showers and watch all my dreams get washed away down the drain. I need to find a new purpose in life - which is harder than I ever could have imagined. Feeling like an artist with no pen, a writer with no muse, I feel the heat in my eyes as I simply listen... knowing I cannot respond.
Sometimes I think about what might have happened if I chose a different path of life. Would that dream also have been torn away from my grasp? Is it my destiny to be doomed to failure, or was it simply a misfortune?
In mid-song, I could feel it gently wear away. Was my heart not in it anymore? And, if it wasn't, why do I feel so Goddamn awful now? I guess it's true, what they say. "You don't what what you've got 'till it's gone."
If I would have figured that out earlier in life, maybe I would have taken the compliments with a different attitude. I know now that I should have been gracious and not taken my, now absent, talent for granted.
It seems as though I am a magnet for bad news. So, I have labeled myself a lost cause.
